LENS— Conference Visual Identity
This conference titled LENS discusses the future of memory effected by photos. The ability to constantly take and accumulate photos has become normalized and made easier. How might the ease of taking photos affect the experience (being present), and how will excessive photos affect the way we view the past (memories)?

The Visual System: Looking Through a Lens
To represent the conference topic, we chose to stretch individual letters from a geometric san serif to create a distorted effect. Accompanied by a series of photos that have a stretched effect isolating the subject in focus. This photo and type treatment visually represents the idea that memories are like "looking through a lens" and details of reality are distorted.

Awareness Materials: Sparking Curiosity
Using a series of environmental pieces, such as billboards and posters, to inform the audience about the event and create curiosity towards the subject. The choice of typography is bold, and the photo treatment promotes a desire to look twice.

In the Experience: Living in the Moment
Using the visual system in a variety of ways to create a holistic experience from the moment the guest walks into the door to the moment to leave with a new perspective on how we should preserve our memories and live life in the present.
